BT team up with Google to bring free Google Stadia membership for broadband customers.

BT (British Telecom) is the largest internet service provider in the UK and the ISP is teaming up with Google to bundle free Google Stadia membership for broadband customers. Just last week, Google reportedly started testing Stadia on non-Pixel smartphones and just yesterday, Google promised over 120 games are coming to Stadia this year.

The partnership will see BT and Google deliver cloud gaming via this new-generation platform to more UK consumer as well as the two companies work together on initiatives designed to build awareness, access and availability of it in the UK

BT customers who sign up for a Superfast Broadband 2, Ultrafast Fibre 100, or Ultrafast Fibre 250 will be eligible for a free Google Stadia Premiere Edition plan. Google recommends at least 35 Mbps for streaming Stadia in 4K (20 Mbps required for 1080p and 10Mbps for 720p).

The Premiere Edition controller normally costs £119 from the UK Google Store, and the Stadia Pro membership costs £8.99 per month and supports 4K gaming @ 60fps in HDR. Signing up for the Premiere Edition membership also includes the Clearly White Stadia Controller, and a Chromecast Ultra.
