Netflix Cancels Marvel's 'Daredevil' After Three Seasons

The streaming service Thursday confirmed it won’t be going ahead with a fourth season of the superhero drama

“‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note,” the statement said.

The programming move follows the cancellations last month of two other Marvel superhero series, “Iron Fist” and “Luke Cage.” Two Marvel series remain on Netflix, “Jessica Jones” and “The Punisher.”

Charlie Cox plays Matt Murdock/Daredevil, a blind New York lawyer who fights crime at night as a superhero. The third season premiered last month.

“While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel,”Netflix said also.
