Oppo to launch a new smartphone soon, as it appears on TENAA

Oppo introduced the Reno3 and Reno3 Pro smartphones in the last days of 2019. It now appears another smartphone is expected to join the family.

Oppo PCLM50 was certified at TENAA, and while there are no photos yet, the full specs sheet has been posted. The device has the same size and weight as the Reno3, but the CPU appears to be slightly faster, while the main camera is downgraded to 48 MP.

The CPU of the Oppo PCLM50 can reach 2.4 GHz and comes coupled to a chipset with a 5G modem. Given the Oppo Reno3 is running on Mediatek’s fastest Dimensity 1000 platform, we are probably looking at a handset with Snapdragon 765G SoC – the one that runs the Reno3 Pro. RAM is listed as 8GB, and there are two storage versions – 128GB or 256GB, with no microSD slot in sight.

There are going to be four cameras on the back of the PCLM50 – the 48 MP main shooter will be coupled with another 8MP snapper, likely an ultrawide camera, and two 2 MP modules that are likely for background blur and macro pictures. The front cam is 32MP – exactly the same as both Reno3 devices.
