Setup a YouTube paid student membership account

YouTube Premium

Become a YouTube Premium member to access benefits on YouTube, YouTube Music, YouTube Gaming, and YouTube Kids.

1. Visit youtube.com/premium/student on your computer or mobile web browser.
2. Select Try it Free.
3. Follow the steps to complete verification with SheerID. If SheerID is able to verify your eligibility, you will be redirected to YouTube to continue the signup process.
   • If you are not immediately verified, you will be asked to upload additional documentation to verify your eligibility. These documents will be manually reviewed and you will receive an email notifying you of your eligibility status within 20 minutes in the U.S. and 48 hours in all other locations.
   • If your eligibility is confirmed through the additional verification step, you’ll need to log back into your account. Navigate to your profile by tapping on your profile picture, select Paid memberships, and then you’ll see a notification prompting you to finish signup using the steps below.
4. Select the payment method you wish to use or add a new payment method.
5. Click Buy to complete the transaction.
