The Role Responsibilities

Understand requirements and translate into quality technology solutionsPro-actively engage, manage and build strong relationships with both business and technology stakeholdersTake ownership of technology deliveries from high level requirement through development, testing and deploymentProvide on-going support to the technology teams as required e.g. authoring / reviewing test cases, closing out open issues / questions, managing change request process etc.Identify risks and issues early, plan mitigating steps and communicate these to stakeholders in a timely mannerWork closely with business users, other project and programme managers and technology stakeholders to ensure all stakeholders are fully engaged and expectations managedDelivery focused, committing to specific tasks and ensuring these and the overall projects deadlines are met

Strategy

Work with segment and frontline teams to identify client needs and launch existing global products solutions to meet these needs. In the absence of existing global solutions work with the regional team to have the relevant proposition developed as a global solution for implementationResearch local and global trends to improve service and product offerings to clientsExecute the global product standardization and product rationalization agenda across digital loansMonitor competition and keep abreast of the product offerings/service developmentsIdentify business/improvements opportunities

Business

Implement and commercialise global standard product program for Digital Loans and in Nigeria.Collaborate effectively with segment teams, client acquisition and relationship teams and CIC/TB to leverage the eco-system and help deliver budgeted Balance sheet and NFI targets.Implement the integrated product segment strategy to launch/re-launch the program value proposition and specific enablers and track program performance along with the segment team through digital solution and adoptionResponsible for portfolio health on loan products – delivery through regular engagement with risk teams in country, region and group to track portfolio performance (through lead indicators) and taking necessary actions to ensure loan impairment is within approved and acceptable limits.Responsible for ensuring governance and controls around Lending products are in line with CAD and global PPG. Ensuring that there is a documented and standardised process with credit policy oversight on collateral management for secured lending products and recovery of instalments for Deduction at Source Programs across markets

Processes

Manage lending products process notes, system and operating instructions to ensure seamless retrieval and safe keeping.Partner with Country ITO, Digital team, Operations, Procurement, Segment, Credit, Marketing, Legal & Compliance and Finance Teams on service level management.Recommend improvements in operational processes, procedures and products based on monitoring of customer feedback to ensure constant enhancement of service levels and efficiency.

People and Talent

Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.

Risk Management

Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing themThe ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measuresEnsure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibilityEnsure you remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank’s efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to: “identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers

Governance

Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areasAwareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
