Soundcloud as a music engine needs no formal introduction. The service has been around for quite a long time now. If you are a song lover and you tend to often search the internet for some specific songs, you’d at some point, come across souncloud.
But, do you know that you cannot download soundcloud songs? Well, officially, there is no download button available. However, there is a way around this.
First, the usual preamble. The other day, I watched Skinny Girls in Transit. Skinny Girls in Transit is a Nigerian movie series. An interesting one at that.
At the end of the finale, a song was played. A song I actually liked. Searching through the internet, the song was literary ONLY available on Soundcloud.
Having to play it every time using the Soundcloud service wasn’t an option. Nah! Hence, there was a need for me to download the song
How to Download Audio Songs From Soundcloud
Downloading soundcloud songs is relatively easy. It’s actually same way used in downloading videos from other popular file sharing sites that doesn’t allow downloads.
In my case, I used savefrom.net or y2mate.pp
- First, I retrieved the direct URL (address) to the song on Soundcloud
- Went to savefrom.net and pasted the URL in the required box.
- After a few seconds, the option to download MP3 displayed.
Hitting the download button automatically downloaded the song. It’s that easy.
