The first tablet from vivo has finally been unveiled in China today. The vivo Pad was launched along with the vivo X Note and vivo X Fold foldable smartphone.
The vivo Pad offers premium specifications including a high refresh rate display, a Snapdragon 8-series processor, fast charging, stylus support and more. The tablet is expected to compete against the likes of OPPO Pad, Xiaomi Pad 5, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE and others in the market.
vivo Pad Specifications
Starting with the display, the vivo Pad features an 11-inch OLED screen bearing a 2.5K resolution. It features 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. The device is compatible with a stylus (that can be attached magnetically) and the brand calls it vivo Pen. It sports a boxy form factor and houses a square camera module on the back panel.
In terms of audio, the vivo Pad is equipped with a quad-speaker system with support for Dolby Atmos.
The vivo Pad comes with dual rear cameras. The setup comprises a 13MP primary lens paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood, the Vivo Pad houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. The device packs 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.
The tablet draws its power from an 8,040mAh battery unit with support for 44W fast charging. Software-wise, the vivo Pad runs on Android 11 OS out of the box. Connectivity options on the device include USB-C port, 3.5mm jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
vivo Pad Price and Availability
The Pad is offered in Blue, Black, and White colours. In China, the tablet comes in two models such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They are priced at 2,499 Yuan (~$313) and 2,999 Yuan (~$60) respectively. The company is yet to confirm whether it will be made available in markets outside China.
