Back as at 2014, Facebook acquire WhatsApp for almost $21.8 billion, and as at that time the instant messaging app already had 500 million users but today, the platform has made a lot of difference, in performance and now in numbers of users. The platform took to there blog on 11th February 2020, to announce there new numbers of users

We are excited to share that, as of today, WhatsApp supports more than two billion users around the world.
